Yamba Museum is conveniently situated on spacious grounds with ample off-street parking and easy wheelchair access, visitors have often described as the finest small historical collection on Australia’s East Coast.
The museum is noted for its extensive display of photographs extending back to Yamba’s early beginnings. Many books and objects portray Yamba slowly developing into one of today’s key seaports, fishing centres and surfing/holiday destinations in northern New South Wales.
Incorporated into the Yamba Museum Precinct is The Old Kirk. This beautiful heritage building built in 1921 was once the Yamba Presbyterian Church and continues to be an integral part of the town’s social and cultural fabric.
Linking The Old Kirk and the museum is the Story Garden, a reflective natural sanctuary that enhances this unique cultural, exhibition and celebration space.
